New 2012/2013 T-shirts arrive just in time for 11th Anniversary Party June 1, 2012!

Bar Frida’s unique t-shirts are here and bartender Filipe took a moment to model one for us!  You’ll be able to take one home on your next visit to Bar Frida for 150 pesos (the shirt, not Filipe).  This year’s design was hand picked by owners Tom and Luis, who will also be celebrating 11 years of serving the coldest beer and best margaritas in town.ImageImage  Come enjoy great food, dancers and a variety of live entertainment on June 1, 2012 at 9pm.  If you’ve never attended an anniversary party, you’re in for a great night.  If you’re one of the hundreds who are here each year for this event, we thank you and look forward to seeing you!

What started out at the old location as a Wednesday night spaghetti dinner prepared by Chef David and served up until it ran out for 50 pesos, has turned into one of the best new dining options (7 nights a week) in Vallarta and at unbelievable Frida prices!  The spaghetti is now 60 pesos on Wednesdays but includes salad and garlic bread.  Most take some home for lunch the next day.  The portions aren’t skimpy!

Sundays are now Pot Roast night (70 pesos).  Often a sell-out, you’ll need to get there early.  He starts serving at 6pm and on a recent Sunday in low season, it was gone by 8pm.

Then there’s the new full menu.  From Panini Sandwiches to burgers and fries to Sweet and Sour Chicken Stir Frys, Chef David is always serving fresh, tasty, creative cuisine that is pleasing everyone!  Recently, we saw Top Sirloin on the menu with potatoes and steamed veggies for 120 pesos, easily the most expensive thing on the menu but a steal if you know the portions David serves.  You won’t ever go hungry at Fridas.

Try the warm brownie with ice cream for a late night treat on Fridas upstairs balcony tables.  The best brownies in town, honest!  CLICK HERE to see the full menu and join us at Fridas tonight!

Bag of Drag night Aug 4, 2009

The idea was simple.  Customers brought in a bag (ok Tom supplied a few of us with great bags!) with various drag items inside.  Those who brought a bag drew a number.  One by one, we put on whatever was in the bag (with Abner’s assistance) and while it sounds kinda silly….its a guaranteed good time.   Try it at your next party!  Here are some pics of the drag hags.
